Beth Lamb

My name is Beth, my hobby is drawing and painting. I chose this program because there weren’t enough art classes and I didn’t like the art classes, I never got to do what I actually was interested in. In the future I want to have a job not related to art and sell my drawings/paintings on the side.

For this semester I am not doing one major project, I am doing lots of little projects that come up along the way. I have recently begun accepting commissions.

My achievements are doing 2 oil paintings and an acrylic major piece for my art class. Another achievement is I have learnt how to do lineart with ink pens.

So far I have learnt about watercolour techniques, oil painting techniques and the different tools used for different effects. Effects like colour blending which is used in most of my paintings to show the different fur/skin/scale tones and to show shading.

Before the expo I want to have my dragon oil painting finished. I aim to have learnt better proportions/anatomy. In the future I want to learn digital art and combine it with my traditional art.
