Dalton Dare

Hello, my name is Dalton Dare and I am doing the CreatIF program. Traralgon college is running this program in 2017 for the year 10’s and I went in this program because I wanted to work on my passion on making fire pits.

My interests are fishing, hunting, camping, 4x4ing and anything that has something to do with the outdoors. I would like to get an apprenticeship as a boilermaker

My passion area that I have incorporated into my project and small business is metal fabrication and working with metal.

Our business is called D&N Homemade Metal Goods. We have made a Facebook Page and it’s called D&N Homemade Metal Goods. We make BBQs and fire pits out of 44 gallon drums and we sell them as a profitable price.

My achievements so far include:

- we have sold roughly sold 15 – 20 items for $50-$60 each
- we have made a Facebook page
- we have done a pitch to investors.

I hope that the kids next year in this CreatIF program have as much fun as I did, and get a lot out of it like how to run a business, make a Facebook page, and how to do a pitch
